Are you a dog lover who enjoys a cold beer on a sunny day? If so, you're in luck! Mount Pleasant is a vibrant neighbourhood located in the heart of Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a hub for creativity and innovation, attracting artists, entrepreneurs, and young professionals from all over the city.

Dog Friendly Patios are the perfect place to unwind.

One of the things that make Mount Pleasant stand out is its dog-friendly environment, with several breweries that welcome your furry friends. Below, I am going to highlight three of my favourite dog-friendly spots in Mount Pleasant to explore.

If you're a dog owner in Vancouver, you know how important it is to find places where you can enjoy a good beer while spending time with your furry best friend. Located at 1830 Ontario Street, Faculty Brewing Co. is a cozy and inviting brewery with a laid-back atmosphere that's been serving up great, unique, experimental beer since 2015.

The covered patio at Faculty Brewing is dog-friendly and offers a comfortable spot for you and your furry friend to enjoy a cold one. Water bowls are provided to ensure that your pup stays hydrated, and the friendly staff is always happy to help you find a spot that's just right for you and your four-legged companion.

But the real star of the show at Faculty Brewing Co. is the beer. The brewery has a rotating selection of seasonal beers on tap, so there’s always something new to try, with something to suit every taste. If you're not sure what to order, the friendly staff is always happy to make recommendations based on your preferences, so you’re sure to find a beer that you love.

What sets Faculty Brewing Co. apart from other breweries in Vancouver is its dedication to education. Co-owner and brewer, Mauricio, takes his experience as a professor into the brewery, offering up recipes on every beer they brew, along with sharing the knowledge from to start to finish behind every beer. There is no secret recipe here! This makes Faculty Brewing Co. a great spot for beer enthusiasts who want to learn more about their favourite beverage.

In addition to its great beer, Faculty Brewing Co. also serves up delicious snacks to pair with your pint. The brewery doesn't have a full kitchen, but you can order tasty treats like cheese and charcuterie boards, soft pretzels, and nuts to snack on while you enjoy your beer. And don’t think they forgot about your fluffy friend. The staff is eager to bring your dog a little snack of their own and give them lots of pets in the process.

If you're looking for a dog-friendly brewery in Vancouver that offers great beer, delicious snacks, and a commitment to education, be sure to check out Faculty Brewing Co. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a pint with your four-legged buddy!

Since Vancouver is a city that loves its craft beer, and with so many great breweries and dog friendly patios to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to go. R&B Brewing, which started its brewhouse in 1997, making it one of Vancouver’s oldest craft breweries, is another great dog-friendly brewery located at 54 E 4th Avenue. R&B Brewery has a spacious and welcoming retro-styled tasting room that is perfect for relaxing with friends and family, and an outdoor patio to enjoy a cold beer with your dog by your side. Your furry friend will be well taken care of, with water bowls available to keep them hydrated on a hot day. Plus, with plenty of other dogs around, your pup is sure to make some new friends.

R&B Brewing is committed to crafting high-quality beers with unique flavours and aromas. With a wide selection of beers on tap, there's something for every beer lover. From their award-winning Vancouver Special IPA to the smooth and flavourful Mocha Stout, each beer is brewed with care and attention to detail. Not only do they serve delicious beers, but they have ciders, cocktails, a hard bar, and wine selections as well, so whatever it is you feel like sipping, they have all the options you need.

But R&B Brewing isn't just about beer – the kitchen serves up delicious pub fare with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. To cater to a diverse range of dietary preferences, the restaurant offers a menu that features both regular and vegan options, allowing customers to choose dishes that best suit their needs. And don’t even get me started on how delicious their pizza is, vegan options available, of course.

So, the next time you're looking for a dog-friendly brewery in Vancouver where you can enjoy a meal with your beer, head to R&B Brewing. With its welcoming patio, friendly staff, and delicious beer, it's a great place to chill and sip a cold brew with your fluffy best pal.

One of the biggest draws for dog owners at Steamworks Brewing Company is the spacious outdoor patio, where dogs are welcomed with open arms, and has plenty of seating options for you and your pup. I even had a chance to meet the owner who couldn’t wait to rave about the dog friendly atmosphere, and even speak about his own furry best friend. It was great to see his love for dogs. While you sip on a beer, your furry friend can relax in the shade, soak up some sun, or even socialize with other dogs on the patio. Not only is the beer at Steamworks Brewing Company top-notch, but the food menu is also a hit among visitors. The kitchen offers a mouthwatering selection of pub-style items with an updated twist, like the Brewhouse Burger topped with a crispy onion ring and bourbon bacon jam, or the Cauliflower Veggie Tacos with a vegan crème fraîche. And don't forget to save room for dessert – the Doughnut Holes made fresh to order are a must-try. Plus, who doesn’t love brunch? Every weekend and holiday, Steamworks Brewing Company is open for brunch from 10am-2pm. Whether you’re a carnivore, or prefer to keep your diet plant based, there is something for everyone.
