Dog Training Class designed for YOU & your DOG! This is not your ordinary dog training class. This is an entire LIFESTYLE for you & your dog. We will teach you how to incorporate dog training into your everyday life. This class will show you how you can have a good dog, no treats required. You will be given the knowledge to teach & train your own dog. Every hands-on class is hosted outdoors. Your dog will learn to listen to you in any situation, with multiple distractions. Classes are hosted at dozens of locations such as Granville Island, Water Taxi, Yale Town, W.4th, Sea Wall & restaurants. What you can expect to learn about: How dogs learn naturally Understand the difference between instinctual & repetitious learning Loose leash walking, no more leash pulling! Patience training Proper fitting of a leash & collar Hands free dog walking Dog nutrition Canine development Basic dog commands such as Sit-Stay-Come-Wait-Hustle-Let’s go Off leash recall Urban dog agility Playing with dog How to play hide & seek with dog Dog massage Proper dog praise & dog reward Dropped leash walking Stop command Dog body language How should dogs greet each other Dog greeting human Dog mental stimulation Dog grooming basics Dog socialization & dog play Crate training/sleeping area Dog vaccines Street Safety Dog training tools recommendations Toys & SO much more! Class schedule: Classes are 7 weeks in length and meets twice per week Each class is 1.5 hours long Total 21 hours What you’ll need: 6-foot leash & martingale collar. We have excellent quality collars & leashes. Comfortable shoes, we are always on the move! Weather appropriate clothing A fun attitude Specific issues that are addressed: Dog fear Dog anxiety Separation anxiety Dog recall Dog pulling Barking Jumping up Dog nipping & more Yes, this course can help with aggression & reactivity too! The training plan for reactive and aggressive dogs might look a bit different than for other dogs. Quite often, further intervention is not needed, but we may need to look at other training tools & methods to resolve these issues. We may suggest private lessons in addition to the course to fully address your dog’s needs. Who comes to dog class? Consistency is extremely important in dog training so bring the whole human pack!
